Not sure about the old farts group but I am Twenty-Twenty-Eight (48). When people ask where I grew up, my wife responds, "I'll let you know where we are if he ever grows up".

Just bought my first SC 6 months ago, been a 4X4 guy for over 30 years. I have a 1957 Willy's Panel 4X4 that will eventually be restored and fully Electric (2 motors), I also have a 1990 Jeep YJ which is getting a complete makeover from frame up because I hate the way Jeep ruined the new versions.

My SC is a Daily Driver and I love it even though SC's seem to need a lot of TLC to stay healthy.

Wink Age is in the mind

My wife says I'm still a kid, my kids won't accept that Im getting slower, my doctor says I'm aging and I agree,I say most days are pretty good. I keep moving and still do what I enjoy,I am 63 and still have trouble recognizing the old man in the mirror is me. I got my first S/C this year. put it together and still have more I am doing on her. Runs like a top but stil I think there is more in there.

Smile I am older than this post..

Got my first S.C. new in 1990, still have it today. I guess myself, Tim, George, Duffy, and a few others are at the top of this list. born or "hatched" take your pick in 1948. That was before everyone had running water.. Heck we had to walk to school up hill barefoot 14 miles and then back home again up hill as well because that's how it was in those days....LOL.........Rich
Too many cars, too little time to drive them. Anything less than 500 cubes is a small block. If you slow down in life you will get run over..

I'm 21 years old, I bought my first thunderbird a 92 5.0 LX in October of 2006, I then hydro-locked the engine in it due to a cold air intake, so out came the 5.0 and in went a 351 windsor, while i was at it i also swapped in an m5r2, shortly there after i went to new jersey to buy 2 supercoupes, I then found another supercouper local from this site that recently purchased another supercoupe with the intentions of fixing the head gaskets. He lost interest and I acquired my 3rd. Then I met a man local to me that was an enthusiast but lost interest, I then bought 3 more from him. Now im getting rid of my old LX and hope to restore all but one of these cars back to original appearing condition. There's very little work I have to do on them so hopefully I can finish up soon and enjoy them more than I am working on them.

Talking Nice to see that the old farts are the second largest group!

Being one of the old farts who responded to this survey, I was pleased to see that we are the second largest group of SC owners.

I bought mine in August of 1989 (original owner). Joined the SCCoA last year. I did not know that there were a bunch of guys, like me, who liked these cars.

I have only one thing to say to the younger SC owners: "Kepp paying your Social Security Taxes, as I plan on retiring in about 10 years!"

We should start a new thread...Original Owners of SCs, XR7, etc. What do you think?
