Who also goes Off Roading??

This 1968 'Late 4A' Land Rover is actually a 1998 Land Rover under the skin, including a turbo-charged, intercooled 300TDi diesel engine, transmission/transfer case and air-locking differentials. The list of modifications includes high-strength synthetic winch cable, authentic lion screens protecting the rear side windows, NATO anti-land mine wheels and a custom fifteen gauge array mounted in, on and around the stock dash cluster. Look close and you'll notice it is right-hand drive as well. Dual batteries; onboard air compressor; heated windscreen, rear camera, GPS & XYZ. Next scheduled outing is 10 days in Moab in May.

Hmm. I'll be completely honest, it'd be neat seeing one of those in my driveway. :D
How much? :p

And Rod is correct about his driveway. The first time I bought parts, I borrowed a Jeep because I had heard about his driveway. Fortunately, my SC never had to make the trip. I honestly doubt it would have made it down, and back up the driveway without scraping in a few places. :D

I am still fixing stuff on it right now, but it will get dirty before too long. I have the stuff to build the solid front axle and the longer shocks for it. But as of now, I am in the process of fixing the 1000000 rust holes in the cab and adding the sound deadner and roll in bed liner. I want it to be quiet while I am driving it down the road.

No other action shots or anything right now since I am fighting the "no oil pressure all of a sudden" syndrome.

I did until this past summer, sole it to finance my road race project.

1986 Suzuki Samurai that came from Arizona. The woman moved here and promptly ran the motor out of oil. I replaced the 1.2 liter with a later 1.6, header, Weber 2bbl. SOA axle flip, lockers, axle vent tubes raised above the cowl. 32s on stock Sammy wheels. The club requires a CB, fire extinguisher, tow points and a first aid kit.

Some of the Jeep guys were pissy because when they came to an obstacle they had path A or path B; mine is so narrow and light, I had choice A, B or C.

It was a frikkin goat! I miss it.

I know this isnt an off roading shot.....but believe me there was a point in time when I was changing spark plugs every 3-5 days.....Ive had this hogs headlights underwater plenty of times, been in mud up to the top of the wheel wells(wayyyy countless times), Snow that is 15+ inches deep(prob. more like 20+) and after all that abuse and 5 years later all Ive had to do is reg. maintainence(crazy amount of plugs, oil, air filters.) and replace the rear end...Its not lifted because the IFS makes it too expensive to lift, but those are 33-12.50s on there that dont rub so....:)....Oh my other tires are Super Swamper TSL, same size....that may be why ive never gotten stuck, and my lead foot....but seriously Ive driven through stuff my buddys lifted 2500 cant go through, driver makes all the difference......and I am not implying i have a Bad mud machine here...I know too many people with HUGE BUILT TRUCKS to say that

My 98 z-71 with 265s(stock tire size) Big-O At's will go awnywhere ive ever tried to take it.. Infact ive had lifted older trucks with much larger tires that were not as capable or as predictable in snow and ice. Great trucks from that era! I bought mine because every 5.4 Triton truck i drove was gutless. Plus i liked the idea of somthing easy to work on so far ive hit 156k miles and have replaced a water pump and a fuel pump(made ALOT of noise since 86k). Ohh and the infamous intake gasket(pink antifreeze plus alluminum intake+ iron heads=bad!!!) Easy fix took less than two hours... I pull a 8200lb 30' travel trailer with mine no problem!

yeah my buddys have a 97 4.6 f150 and a 99 5.4 f150 and they are both gutless gas hogs, my z after all the pain its been through is still a mover, they say like a rock for a reason its nothing less...ive had mine since just under 100k and it just rolled over 151k and my fuel pump although mighty noisey hasnt failed yet, my brother had to replace his in his 98. But nonetheless they are workhorses, and I personally wouldnt have bought another truck while i was in the market..
