    rebuildin the motor

well yall, got a hold of dave dalke and ordered my rebuild kit on saturday. i got gaskets, freeze plugs, valve seals, cam bearing, rod and main bearings, moly rings, timin chain and tensionor, hv oil pump, mls head gaskets, arp studs, lifters, arp rod bolts. should be gettin to machine shop to get cam bearings in. me, pops, and a buddy are gonna be puttin everything together. heads got a 3 angle job. but the downside is pops turbo'd 331 decided to lift a head again and gotta get that put together this week while hes outta town so that cuts down on six banger time but oh well.

I have a set of '94 pistons and rods out of my black '94. The '94/'95 sc's had full floating wrist pin connecting rods, the car ran fine when I tore it down for my performance build and I replaced them with Scat forged 6.200" rods and Wiseco forged 30 over pistons, that combo cost me $1000, I'll let the stock piston/rods combo go for $60.

94/95 have a higher compression ratio, 8.5 to 1 as compared to 8.2 to 1.

motor is back from performance unlimited

first, took 6 weeks for a week long job, promised to order parts, waited a month to tell us he couldnt get them, f***ed up my cam bearings from dave dalky and said they were wrong, which they wernt. pick everything up. block is as dirty as before and was supposedly diped and magnafluxed. dumb!@# sand blasted my heads and when i got the heads outta the truck sand fell outta the head on my arm.
and to add to it he lost two main cap bolts.

moral: never go to performance unlimited.
