Today I found out the outer input shaft on my AOD is broken. The previous owner of the transmission told me that the transmission and been built up and that it had a higher stall torque converter installed.
Could the shaft have broken from too much power or is something else to blame? Typically don't the (2) inner input shafts break on the AOD transmissions? Could the aftermarket torque converter have contributed to this?
What are my options to keep this from breaking again?
