Does anyone index spark plugs on their SC?

I was watching Horsepower TV yesterday and they were talking about indexing a spark plug. It occurred to me that this was done on the plugs that I just removed from my car.

Who actually does this on their SC?

Odometer shows 22192 miles, which is supposedly very close to when you installed the motor. So you were very close. I'm very impressed with the plugs.

If you purchased the 2008 shootout DVD it has me winning the most HP with a M90 at 400 rwhp.:cool::eek: I did catch this prior to the release of the DVD but it was to late.

And you forgot to vote...but I pretty sure I know the answer.

Nah I don't index the plugs. May have once but not really sure.

How do you know those were indexed, Mike? I don't see any marks on em.

I used to do that in my mustang.
If you look at the plugs... the electrode is not in the same place on all plugs in relation to the start of the threads.

Put a paint/crayon mark on the wrench portion of the plug where the OPENING of the elctrode is.
Then run it in finger tight and see where it lands.
I used to make sure it was facing into the combustion chamber, not facing the close side of the wall.

Might have to try a couple/few plugs to get one that indexes in that cylinder, then repeat for all the others, might have to buy a few sets of plugs to get them all indexed...OR buy the index spacers.
