Should I put this on my front bumper ??

... been thinking about this one for a while, wondering if anybody has any thoughts. I am trying to keep the car MOSTLY stock .. but I thought this one might look sort of cool. I dont plan on having a front lisence plate either.

Leave it STOCK ?? Or hack my bumper up ??

I say hack it up! If it doesn't come out right, you can come up with another 94/95 bumper.

    Or...

Pick up another one, and hack it up. If it turns out good, swap it on and save your original. If it doesn't, you haven't ruined your original.

The way to do it is carve out the letters on the bumper same size as the plate you carved out. Then use body shop adhesive and glue the template in the back then use filler and all that good stuff. If you cut out a sqare on the bumper you will have a hard time making it look good.

I thought you were going to just leave it on with the tape I say try it on an old bumber or even a wrecked bumper cover. At least then you dont hurt yours.

I actually had two spare 94/95 bumper covers, but I gave one to my buddy and used the other one ( cut it up ) to make the foglights on my 96/97 bumper ..

I have seen a few people asking about how to do this over the years, but never seen one actually do it. I think it would be sort of cool since they stopped putting the SC in the front bumper after 1991 or so ?? I removed this logo from a wrecked 91 at the junkyard, so I only have $5 into the project so far.

Making a little progress here. Rounded the edges on the donor piece and scored it onto the front bumper. I have cut out the section so the two pieces flush up. The edges have been sanded on the donor piece and they are chamfered about 45 degrees so I can fill it with the epoxy. I will do the same on the front bumper after it is removed from the car next.

2nd coat of epoxy applied and sanded ..

Couple shots .. hard to catch any light with primer only. Needs to be wet sanded and painted to match ..

Rear bumper is next .. anybody interested in seeing how to fix this kind of tear ??
