    FMIC option?

Using stock IC tubes out to the stock IC then couplers and bends to mount this in front of the radiator with a pusher fan on the front?
Maybe move the radiator and do some sealing to direct flow?

Here's one that will not block off much of the radiator, so with some creative air flow direction and sealing along with a good fan it could be made to move air quite well? But is it big enough to cool ALOT more than a stock IC?

    What about one of these?

One of these with 2.5" in/out instead of 3"

The second one is decent size, but good luck with tubes with that endtank config. The other vertical core IC's are too small and will not cool effectively. There are quite a few good long detailed threads of FMIC installs on here.

I had the first one listed and it cooled less than my stock IC...had a long conversation with dave and one sided in/out FMICs are not gonna get you to the cooling numbers needed...

best way to go is MP FMIC if you have the $ which not many of us do...another way to go is talk to fraser FTUNER I think is his name/post name...he has a sweet custom setup that was at least half the price of the MP FMIC

the only reason why i would not get the mp fmic is because of the cooling . it stays hotter because it right up against the radiator and it keeps the intercooler from keeping the charge temp down. now if they made it to where it sets back 3 to 4 inches then it would be better to use..

my friend has on of the mp fmic and his car stayes hot and he hates it .... un till i fixed his problem with it now he is good..

you see how he has it set up but you can see the pipes a lil. fraser has it set up very good. if you pm him he might send you some better pics. if i was to do a fmic i would do 1 very close to what he has. here is his garage link so you can see a little bit of it.

The easiest way is to set one up is to get yourself a cross flow IC that has a 24"X12"X3" core with the inlet/outlet being 3" and at the bottom. The idea is you can then plumb in the piping around the rad core underneath the frame rails without having to cut anything and I even used the stock upper and lower IC tubes to keep the "stock" look....

Dalke welded up a couple of simple little brackets for me so I can hang the IC off of the top of the bumper so the IC does not sit against the A/C condensor or rad. I'm not seeing any cooling issues but I haven't exactly had boiling hot days either . I don't see a problem though.

I can send you pics of my setup. I'm seeing a bit over 80% cooling efficiency and about a 0.3psi drop across the whole setup. I'm making about 16psi of boost with an MPX at 15% OD but I'll be going to 20% OD to get up to 17psi or so.

My setup is one of many here that will work, I just wanted a way that wouldn't require cutting anything on the car so I can take it back to a stock IC if I wanted to. Meanwhile my tranny cooler is now installed where the stock IC was.

Fraser, I like the look o your set up from what I see in your garage photo.
The reason I ask about all these FMICs is I LIKE the look of the stock IC tubing.

Would love to see the link to a thread for your FMIC build with all the parts you used. PICS would be nice if you od not have a build thread.
