Firm Ride Light is always on

Got in my 92 SC the other night and the Firm Ride light was on....

I checked the switch and it was off....

Replaced the switch and light is still on....:(

I was going to swap out the control module, but didn't have the correct one...

Sometimes the light will go out, then the switch will turn it on and off.....

Then it will come back on (even when driving on a smooth road at highway speed with no evasive maneuvering)....

I'm sure its a sensor (speed, brake, power steering, or ignition switch) problem, but before I start throwing parts at it, is there any way to find out which one is causing my problem.....

Sure. Unplug them one by one, and take a test drive after each unplug.

Or better, unplug one, see if the light went out, plug it back in, go to the next one.

Don't forget to unplug the wiring to the FIRM/AUTO switch - it could have an intermittent short inside it.

On a 89 I worked on that had the same problem it ended up being the auto ride control module.

Problem found....

It was the brake pressure switch down on the frame....

Unplugged it and the firm ride light went out....:D
