Dynotech 3.5" Aluminum Driveshaft, CLOSED

The loop protects the driveshaft from physically flying out of the car if it were to break. It is required by NHRA for anything faster than 13.50 IIRC.
Shipping within the continental US is included in the price. Anyone outside of the continental US I suggest looking for a company that specializes in shipments to your area. They are out there and they will save you a good bit of money. Shipping to them would be included..
The deadline is when we get our tenth.

I think we have our tenth

Shipping clarification!
Shipping within the continental US is included. If you are not within the continental US other shipping arrangements must be made. Dynotech will ship anywhere within the continental US. If you have an air cargo facility you use for international orders or other place to ship the shaft to be picked up it can be sent there. I would prefer not to have shafts sent here as international shipping on these things can be complicated and UPS has severely ripped me off before by shipping one. If USPS would take them I would have no problem with them at all.
Now on that note everyone needs to contact me to finalize this.

Good news, I'll update the first post.
I have no need for a drive shaft at this time, but it might be nice to wait a couple of days before finalizing everything just to get people who don't frequent the boards an opportunity to get into this quickly filled group buy.

Sorry but the shipping seems too complicated to me so I'm out for this group buy.

Sorry again.

I know there are dozens of cargo specialists. With a quick search I found this
http://www.shipping-worldwide.com/finland.htm
If you set up shipping with them I can have the shaft drop shipped to them to forward to you and be much cheaper than UPS or Fed Ex.

For everyone paying by check or money order here is the information you need.

Alan-
If we're mailing a money order, should we address it to Dirty Dog Performance or should we send the envelope to your attention. If so, what's your last name?

I've been eyeing this gb for the few days. Is there an actual benefit to an AL driveshaft? I understand cutting some weight from rotating mass but I don't think it'll do much. I guess I need some convincing.
I am rebuilding the entire car so I might be interested.

hook when drag racing with over 360 or so rwhp and the stock driveshaft can twist into a pretzel. It can also be necessary if you intend to do high speed driving due to improved balancing. if you don't chase your 60ft times or have an issue with your current driveshaft, there may not be a reason to buy it.

But if you think you might in the future, this is a pretty good deal right now. A couple years ago it was over $50 less. Material costs keep going up, which means this will unlikely get cheaper ever.

Is the stock shaft that weak?
If that's the case I think I'll consider it.
Is that the paypal mentioned in the first post?

I don't think I would say that the stock shaft is all that weak. I've not seen one break from launching at any power level. What I have seen is the yoke break at the transmission - I broke one - and I know of one other who did. I also know of one that broke due to bad or loose U-joints. Faulty or worn hardware is very often the root cause of many failures throughout the car.

However that being said, the stock crimped 2pc design is not very strong compared to a solid shaft. The strongest shaft is steel, but I think these are very good shafts.
