Broken Harmonic puller?

fuel pressure is not easily adjustable. you can install a fuel pressure regulator but without adjusting the tune its not wise to mess with it.

Mine holds 39-40 psi key on engine off.

well they say hindsight is 20/20 but the BHJ balancer is the best option. It's expensive but what's it worth to have piece of mind that you aren't going to break a balancer or crank bolt. I've broke mine before and its no fun to get the chunk off the snout of the crank.

I'm waiting on Victor at Spinning Wheels to get a BHJ for me for my other SC. I have never pulled the stock balancer but since the engine is coming out this summer there's no way I'm putting the stock balancer back on. I'm also getting the SCI underdrive pulleys.

If your engine has had a cam replaced then the balancer was re-used. The interference fit isn't as tight after re-install and it may have worn the crank a bit so the new balancer you installed slid off after a short time. The BHJ fits so tight I actually had to enlarge mine a tad to get it to fit, and it was tight. The BHJ's are the only ones I've heard of that can be re-used without fear of them failing.

Well here's were it really blows!!!!!

Order'd Magnum Powers underdrive pulleys Sat/9th and they show'd today....all pretty and ready to install!!:D

Then after that pulley order, I found the Dorman Balancer I put on last Spring was junk!!...Yesterday AM I posted I was will'n to pay $250 for a used JHB Harmonic......No takers, could hear peepers in the background.

Around noon yesterday I broke down and ordered a new one from Spin'n Wheels......Couple hours later I saw E-Mial saying "Thank you for your purchase" for it, bolt, and a needed Blower snout front seal kit......$400+ total with ship'n and credit card bill'd.

Today I get notice they are back-order'd and as soon as the manufacture does another run, they with let me know approx ship date in the future:eek:

Leaving for Florida Monday after weekend in Charlotte, NC. watch'n Grandkids, and it looks like I git to enjoy the drive in Momma's Escort ZX-2......CRAP!!

Have a E-mail into Super Coupe Performance to see if the have one on shelf they could ship ASAP to save my ride (and my back) to Florida next Monday.....Will fallow up with call AM tomarrow.

STAY TUNED!!

Dam(n) I luv cars!!

Well guess I'm SOL on their "One year warranty"!! After 3 E-mails and pics show'n how the part ate itself/loosened and the miss-drilled holes when manufactured.

Talked Clifford Bohnstedt at Auto Parts New/Auto Parts 4u.

Said they could only send me another one?.....Another one to mess up another crank positioner sensor?....Another $150 wrecker call when it goes bad cause it did not fit tight enough from the start?....Another one that the manufacturer "2 Wheel tunes"???>>"In China" (NOT DORMAN), drilled the vane holes out of location compared the factory one. Another one that I had to open one pulley mount hole that was missed drilled 1/16" to get bolt to start and yes I had it lined up to the bolt pattern correctly!

No thanks! and don't know any other people I would sell it to.....(errr wanted to say>>STICK IT TO!!)

I would like a refund.

"We can send you another one"....Told him I all ready ordered a performance one for another $359 + shiping.....I would like a refund.
"The manufacturer will not cover it"
But its not broke.....It's defective!! and you advertise them with "A one year warrenty" and It's coming back.

"We can send you another one"

No thanks...You got me on this one:mad:....Have a nice day:p.......hung up.....It is going back with the original invoice/Pay-pay statement....and all this artical/thread....I would like to think they have some standards and honor their "One year warrenty"..and send me a check or refund my Pay-pal account....It will probably go in the scrap barrel ......I don't need another> door stop!

Called Super Coupe Performance.....Bill Evanoff said "We have several on the shelf and will price match Spin'n Wheels".....Ordered/paid for one and also a 10% O/D jackshaft pulley.

Called Spining Wheels and got a refund from Diane who was very nice about it>>the back ordered one that was going to take at least a month to have made and ship'd.

Thats great. Sounded like a typical adventure, but youll be better off. I am one of the luck few who has been OK with reusing 2 of my 3 HBs. The one that failed, when reused, was high mileage. It snapped the main bolt; I didnt let it get to the point of coming off. Replaced it with a BHJ.

On the other 2, I inspected the bore and visually compared them to the slippery one. The wear wasnt significantly bad, so I risked it.
