So how was the track guys?

We need a "Top 25 slowest 'birds" to put Ryans trap times in.
Ahh, forget it, just give him the trophy.

Thanks Ron.

I'm not sure how fair it is to the guys further down the list that the same car is on that list twice, just with different owners.

Not to start a debate or anything......

I don't see a problem as long as the car truly has a new owner. Many SC's have been sold by old members to new members, and the new members should not be penalized for that.

If it's the same car, same owner, different driver, that would not be acceptable.

Perhaps there is room to address my concerns during this debate. The SCCoO fastest list for 89-97 Tbirds and Cougars includes 4.6 Tbirds, and even a Mark VIII, but I'm stuck in my own section like some kind of five litre leper.

I would prefer to be part of the main list, or have the n/a 4.6s and non-Tbird/Cougars in the same list as me, thereby dedicating the main section to supercharged cars only.

I think that we should keep the list separate for the MN-12 chassis cars vs. the Fox body stuff. It's an apples & oranges comparison IMHO, that solid axle gives the Fox cars a distinct advantage at the drags. We're not aiming to exclude people here, but the main thrust of the club is supercharged MN-12 cars, and it takes a bit more work to get them going well at the strip. No offence intended Keith, but it is a simpler task to crank a 13 out of a car like yours, than from a 89 - up car. How about drumming up some more members for the club with 83 - 88 Birds and Cougars !! As long as their cars are slower than yours anyway ... :p

Ed,
I appreciate your response and understand your reasoning. I don't feel excluded and am happy that the club even tolerates me. I'm painfully aware of the MN-12 disadvantage. I won't even take mine to the track and not just because it is 3.8 n/a.

The Fastest section headings are confusing. It's just a minor detail, but perhaps "1989-1997 Thunderbird/Cougar" should read "MN-12s" if Mark VIIIs are to be included.

Actually, I'd like to see faster foxes join the club. Nothing like some competition to heat up the ETs.

Anyone going to TMP this weekend? GTAMC has an event planned.

I think the weather report for this weekend is looking even worse than last Saturday right now !! Showing HIGH of 6 degrees, variable cloudiness, 40 % p.o.p. ....

cheers

Yeah, weather doesn't look good Saturday. Maybe Sunday will be better. TMP has indicated that it will remain open later this year. At least until the snow is too deep :D
