Cutouts for the exhaust

My friend just put these bad boys on his muscle 300m and I gotta say, holy crap!! It sounds good. I was wondering what they would sound like on our cars and if anyone had tried these. I figure one could bypass the expensive exhaust setup and just install these "waste gates". Might be an option for someone anyway. Check em out and let me know what ya think.

honestly I had open exhaust around the transmission with and without a muffler and both sounded awesome but now I cant hear because on the freeway that ~~~~~ is loud!

with a small muffler sounded best...I think cutouts after the muffler would be cool for around town have them open but then any freeway driving over 15 minutes it would need to be closed

I had QTP's put on later with an electronic controller. I then wired a WOT TPS switch to the input of the controller. WOT now means wide open exhaust as well. :D

Dude! That is exactly what I'm talking about! Very nice...
So? How's it sound? Worth the effort? Any pros? Cons?

Thanks

the exhaust note is deeper when you send both sides into one 3 or 3.5" pipe...I personally like the raspyness of having true dual...it sounds like nothing else out there...very nasty sounding...

people ~~~~~ bricks when they see me coming then hear me blowing by and my exhaust goes out to the rear right now

always asking me what the hell is under the hood

I only have a clip at idle:

I put them on my Bird 2 years ago, and love them. I have them set up on a switch, and to a hobbs switch to open automaticly at 12 psi. Dual 3 inch and Dynomax Bullets, so it is a tad loud even with them closed.

My exhaust shop I use is really a good shop but they recommended I dont do cutouts which turned me off a bit...said they would do it but they wouldnt want to

Aware this is an old post:). Cutouts will be going on the 94. Anyone else have installs to share?. I see a X-pipe on one thoughts on those? Saw a comment that these Birds are a dying breed. Not true if folks share what works or what to avoid.
Thanks,
Creighton
