"Sent Items" in Private Messages

Does anybody know why the messages that I send don't show up in the "Sent Items" in Private Messages? My Inbox works fine but Sent Items is always empty.

My sent items are always saved, I have to delete them manually. It might be the settings you have set. Just an idea....
 
Click on your "private messages"

On the left hand side of the page, look for "settings and options"

Click on "edit options"

Look under "messaging and notification" and make sure the box for "save messaging" is checked....
