A few more after it was painted

the engine bay looked TOO SLOPPY i know
there was plenty of over spray there was still parts that were
RED
i wanted to keep the original color but at the time i ran out of money
and i already had Black paint and some Blue
that were for another car
so i painted it Black with Blue Pearl
and blue interiors

the engine bay is changing as of now
getting rid of all the Blue mostly
and trying to clean up lots of the over spray

I got a ceramic coat on the blower
did some superficial polishing to the tubes
still working to finish those
and just to clearify the Hood scoop
so that many dont think its just a stick on scoop
well partially it is a stick on scoop
but i gutted out the hood made a hole so that it would be functional
either to get hot air from the engine bay out or ram some fresh air in

Engine looked so blue i started to feel like a ricer -.-

Hello, and welcome! You did a nice job fixing up the car. I like the exterior a lot. The interior is not my taste, but it seems to be well done.

thank you

Thanks alot i sure will many good people here that offer help when it comes to fixing up this cars
and yea the interior was something i had to improvise in since many of the parts were broken or in really bad conditions so i had to fix with fiberglass and paint them so it couldnt be noticeable
back then i didnt know i could find interior parts here from other members xD
the front seats i dont like the covers but the holsters are in quite a bad condition as well

I see. Considering what you had to work with, I think it's a definite improvement.

There are some nice fitted seat covers available at www.supercoupeperformance.com. They are not cheap, but, well, they're not the simplest things to make either.

http://www.supercoupeperformance.com/partBrowser.aspx?category=38

Thank you
YES! i had seen those but i figured that kind of money could be used on
85mm TB etc
maybe an MPX case or plenum :D
once im done on the modding which is hard to believe i will with one mod comes another
i think i will buy new upholstery
thanks for the link tho

and yes the car came in horrible conditions when i got it -.-
and aside from that it wouldnt even start lol
then the transmission went out after a month of running
then a week after the transmission was fully rebuilt the head gaskets when pop
and then i found out the snout was leaking oil as well
hopefully i dont have to worry about this things for a while now...

few more...

A few more pics
Probably not the best Porting job in the World because it was done by me
but its a match port to the Gaskets
but i say a little bit better than no port at all

Migueal,

SO many people here would have just said screw it and parted that car out. Its real nice to see someone put effort into fixing the car up and saving yet another from the junk pile. It's all about your own personal taste and what you can afford to produce. Looking forward to seeing what your up to next.

Damon

The car looks great! You can't even tell it has been wrecked before. Good job man!

Thank you so much
the paint has some minor details since im not a professional at it or have an actual shop with a paint room
but unless you work a body shop u wont know :p
i also realized BLACK is a very annoying color when it comes to bringing details out
so maybe red would have looked better but didnt have the money for the paint at the time :p
thanks

I know even I at first did not like it one bit
i had a mustang body in my back yard and i was thinking to rebuild it all it needed was paint and an engine
so thats what i was going to do but my godfather made the purchase on this supercoupe for me
and at first im gonna be honest i was dissapointed when i saw it
and it didnt even turn on had lots of things wrong with it

got it to start and went pedal to the metal to see if it was even worth it
after i heard the Whine and did some do- nuts i
was convinced i was gonna keep it :D
it was a really comfortable ride
Currently im looking to fix the headlights
trying to see if i can get some clear headlights or maybe find a conversion of headlights idk just want this old blurry ones gone
and its getting put back together
i have so much to do to it i lose track of whats next
everynow and then
but im hoping to turn this Ex-Junk into a 12s survivor less than 12 even better

thanks to everyone for all the good tips on what to do and what not to
even tho parts are quite scarce and the mods for this cars are not as wide variety as u see in a mustang
and a bit expensive i like it its quite a challenge and soon they will be classics ;) even tho mine isnt original anymore :/

Good job. It looks way better than what you started with.

David

Thank you very much
yes sometimes i feel a little ricey with the blue :p but i couldnt just fix one part and make leave the other stock looking so i figured i had to do it all
mostly i did with the sloppy engine bay but thats long gone
so now it will just be the interiors once i get money that i dont spend on performance i want to get new upholstery so i can get rid of the Seat covers

the stick on hood scoop
was useless untill last week
i gutted the heavy cowl hood so now at least i can say its a heat extractor or a wanna be ram air :D

If you are tight on money, you can sand down the headlights to get rid of all the yellowing, and then clear-coat them. (Grind the little nubs off before you do this, it will save you lots of aggravation.) The yellowed glue along the outside can be removed as well. Soak the headlights in some hot water to get them a little more pliable, then gently split the housings at the seam with a putty knife or some such thing. Then seal the housings back up with clear RTV or something along those lines.

i had sanded the headlights and sprayed a clear coat on them
but it was still a bit blurry

although im going to split them up now and sand the insides and get a clear coat on that
hopefully it looks better and ill save some cash
thanks for the info

My headlights weren't really yellow at all on the inside, but the glue was. Replacing the glue might improve the looks a little. But if the lenses are still cloudy, you might be out of options. Mine are not perfectly clear, but they are not yellow, and I am pleased with the results.

mine sadly are and sort of cracked as well
if they dont improve ill opt for new ones or try and do that 93 acura conversion
to get a different style

VVVVV
came accross that pic while looking for healights
gotta love it
