Thread: 9" k&n cone filter....no fit...

    9" k&n cone filter....no fit...

    Started doing my bigger stuff swap sort of speak...
    On the intake side first...Added the MP Inlet not so long ago
    now adding the 85mm TB -3.5 CAI-C&L Maf with the
    9" k&n but looks like gonna have to trim some off
    the cold air pipe...looks like scp pipe.Filter sticks over
    the rad support by amost 2"....something isn't right.

    Also been awhile since putting on an aftermarket TB n making tps adjustments
    for correct voltage...hook up a volt meter to neg side of
    battery n poke the tps wires to find the volt reading
    then move tps til ya get .95-.97 volts...

    I Will do a search on that also LoL

    Just cut the intake pipe, its easy and cheaper then getting another filter.

    Yeah, that is the plan...I threw on the old filter for a day just to see how
    she runs...started fine n idled good!

    To make mien fit I had always had to keep couplers lose and kind of squeeze thinsg into one another then sprea dthem back out again...For instance SCP pipe slips into TB, MAF slides over SCP pipe...Squeeze filter on then slide everything into position and clap couplers Shouldnt have to cut anything
