MP new coated rotors and end plate

Lets here about the results you guy got when you switch from stock rotors to the new MP coated rotor set up. I think I would like to get this set up but I would love to know how they worked out for you guys.

    Thanks
    Dave

I purchased the new rotor pack along with an MPx back when MP had the intro sale in the fall. It's still not installed! I'm probably not goi g to have before and after results due to the scale of my project. But I have heard of 2 psi in boost with adding the coated rotor packs to an existing set up.

Looking forward to seeing the results as guys get them booted on, and the weather gets nicer.

I had a set installed in my MP2 supercharger and replaced my S-model with it. My boost jumped 2psi from 12psi to 14psi. My RWHP went from 340 to 384 and my RWT went from 388 to 414. There was an air temperature difference as the first tune was at 95 degrees and the second at 68 degrees and I enlarged my air inlet from 3" to 3.5" but still that is a significant increase. I'm very happy with the results.

They are the way to go! The coating is bonded to the rotor surface and significantly cuts down the amount of heat in the blower. I had mine custom made before they were available but I have no doubt the results will be very similar. I am in the middle of getting everything back to get it installed and running and I will be posting the results as soon as it is tuned and dynoed.

Sounds like you guys are get some good results with these. I have a ported late model on mine rite now with the mp intake inlet,so would the change to the new rotor set up still have a good increase in power. Also would the be able to be taken out of the late motel blower and used in the MPX case, I know that I would need the new inlet to match the MPX case.

You should see a 2psi difference and lower iat which = horspower. Yes you can take them out of the late model and put them directly into an mpx. I am also having Charles modify my MPX inlet to make it bigger so it will accept a 4" CAI pipe and 95mm throttle body. the thread is MPXS MAX

Thanks Dave I'm just thankful that Charles at magnum powers has enough enthusiasm about the super coupe to continue to manufacture aftermarket upgrades for it. Like anyone who goes off the beaten path to try something different you spend a lot of time and resources to accomplish what we thought it "might do". I just wanted to dismiss the might and see if a well built m90 car can break a dependable 400 rwhp. I think it can and I'm going to keep hanging on to that until the end of this experiment.

Dave, aren't there a number of M90 cars that have already broken the 400HP barrier

Name one supercoupe with an m90 and no other power adders such as nitrous that have dynoed 400 HP and you get the prize lol none that I'm aware of. The other stipulation is it has to be a street car not a race car with no alternator etc

hmmm well I dont know exactly but really name one. There are alot of streetable super coupes that have come close to 400 hp but I dont know of one STREET carthat has all of its functions intact that has headed north of the 400hp mark with an m90 on it. Unless Kevins car is considered a street car and I am sure his is north of 400 but he hasnt dynoed it in quite some time.

No, I have absolutely no desire to have a fast car for the street anymore. I enjoy the car 1000x more as a track car than I ever did as a street car. I am a truck guy. I would rather take my F250 superduty on a trip over the wife's MKZ
