I got the new Power Bond Balancer in the mail monday

It does not have the 26 degrees atdc notch that the stock unit has so use a stocker an a straight edge to mark it.

Align the timing notch on your pulley as close as it will goto the zero mark on the balancer and you will have to elongate ONE of the holes in your pulley

Nice work on this build! Is that a super coupe specific balancer? If so whats the pn# and how'd you come across it. I'm reinstalling my old one for start up but not driving until i get a bhj. (Or maybe this). Also wont the redrill cause wobble? I know the pulley is keyed and you have to play with clock position to get it right.

The pulley is centered by the hub on the balancer so slotting a bolt hole has no affect on the balance. You can get these from Orielly autoparts pb1530n is the part # also available from Rockauto.com http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/PPI0/PB1530N.oap?ck=Search_pb1530n_-1_923&keyword=pb1530n

Cool. I thought we were stuck with dorman or bhj. I have bhj on the 92 auto but they're pricey. i'll definetly give this one a look. Thanks for sharing.

I won this at the Carlisle Raffle!! A big thanks to Brad at The Custom Wheel Shop for donating this awesome item! Also a big thanks to David Niebert for shipping it to me!

I am driving to Evansville tomorrow to pickup my heads! Pics soon to follow!!! I can finally get moving on this thing again!!

This will be the front of my new exhaust system, Kooks mid lengths, 2.5" down tubes (cats are hollow btw) and i am going to run 2.5" mandrel bend tailpipes and I will also be running OEM 05/09 mustang GT mufflers in the back.

Setting up an SC valvetrain can be interesting! I finally figured out what pushrods i need (7.350) and ordered a shim pack so i can un-ghetto my rocker shims.

The wear pattern finally looks acceptable this is with a 7.368 push rod length and .100 shim so i am going to try .090 shim with the 7.350 rods and see where i am at.

Push rods, and shims are in the mail! So i hope to have the motor back together and ready to install by the weekend!

Looking good Jacob. Get it together so Dan and I can help with the install. We move into the house the end of this month but other than that I should be able to get a day off to help you out.

Winter time!

Jacob this motor build was very informative thanks for sharing all this. Do you plan to see this thing on the road before the snow hits? Also one question, why the 10W-40?
