Anyone try the all-metal or "hidden" tire valve stems in their SC wheels?

Will probably go with the all-metal ones in the ADR Kasais. Through the years I've actually had some rubber stem seals rot and leak air so I figure it's worth it upgrading to all metal.

Has anyone tried either of these in their stock SC wheels or cobra Rs? Wondering what sizes are used or if the wheel needs to be machined to accept one of these types.

When my tires were installed at the local Firestone tire shop they used chrome valve stems to match the chrome wheels. I think it was an option provided as I didn't have to purchase my own for the installation.

I'm running hidden valve stems in my Foose wheels. I bought them from the Custom Wheel Shop. The insertable stem that is used to fill the tires has a hex head on the end that doubles as the tool to remove the cap. They've been on my car for several years and I haven't had any issues with them.

I've never seen the hidden ones before, but I have used the metal ones, and my experience was that after a while, they start leaking between the rubber gaskets and the rim. The regular old rubber valve stems are fine, and if you just replace them whenever you change the tires on the car, they will never get old enough to dry-rot.

Thanks George!

Anyone know the valve stem sizes on the stock SC wheels/cobras? I'd like to pick up some and just take them along with the wheels when the tires get mounted.
