The below information went out in an email today to all registered participants of the SC Shootout. I'm leaving a copy here for anyone who has not yet registered or plans to register at the Shootout. Keep in mind, if you're not registered by end of day today, you will not be guaranteed food at the awards banquet as the head count is due.

----

As we prepare for the 2016 SC Shootout, we wanted to send an email with important information. Please take a few minutes to read this email so you’re not surprised by something later at the Shootout.

THERE ARE TO BE NO BURNOUTS IN THE HOTEL PARKING LOT OR ON THE GROUNDS OF THE TRACK (Short of coming out of the water box.) YOU WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE SC SHOOTOUT IF YOU PERFORM A BURNOUT IN EITHER LOCATION WITH NO REFUND! NO EXCEPTIONS, NO EXCUSES!

We have updated the itinerary on the SC Shootout website. Here are a few of the notable changes and particulars –

Friday

  • Registration will be held from 6-9pm in the hotel conference room Salon D.
Saturday

  • A complimentary breakfast buffet will be hosted by the hotel from 6:30am-11:00am in the restaurant off the first floor lobby. Make sure you receive breakfast vouchers (For Saturday and Sunday) upon check-in. Breakfast is only included for those staying at the host hotel, but you may purchase breakfast if not staying at the host hotel.
If you are not able to arrive on Friday for registration, please find Jen Oatway for registration.
The dyno competition will begin at approximately 9:30am. Please pay attention and listen for updates from the dyno area if you are participating in the competition and have your car ready. First dyno cars should expect to be at the dyno by 9:15am so the first run can happen at 9:30am.
Lunch will be served from 12:00pm-1:00pm. As we provide lunch ourselves, if you cannot make lunch by 1pm, please make other arrangements for food as we will not be keeping the grill on for late comers.
Our awards dinner banquet will be catered this year and begins at 6:00pm. There will be a cash bar with soda, liquor, beer and wine. NO outside food or drink is permitted.
Immediately following dinner will be the driver’s meeting. This meeting is REQUIRED if you will be racing on Sunday.
Sunday

  • A complimentary breakfast buffet will be hosted by the hotel from 6:30am-11:00am in the restaurant off the first floor lobby. Make sure you receive breakfast vouchers (For Saturday and Sunday) upon check-in. Breakfast is only for those staying at the host hotel.

Attached to this email is a map of the host hotel parking lot and surrounding area. Please note that all trailers must be parked as indicated on the map. No trailers are to be parked on hotel grounds.

If your car will be on the dyno on Saturday, please park closest to the dyno location indicated on the map. You MUST be aware of what car is on the dyno and your designated slot in the dyno line-up. We will NOT be chasing people this year to get their car on the dyno. If your car is more than five minutes late for the dyno, we will move to the next car. We will make every attempt to get your car on the dyno, however, there will be no refunds for no-shows on the dyno and late comers if time has run out. We will make every attempt to announce the next car owner’s name and car number for the dyno, as well as keep some kind of indicator for which car we’re currently running on the dyno. Please pay attention to the dyno area if you are entering the dyno competition.

Please remember – the SC Shootout is run by many volunteers. We have spent the past year coordinating and making the SC Shootout happen. Not every aspect can be perfect, and we ask for your patience and understanding. Please be considerate of the host hotel and its employees as we would like to come back next year if all goes well.

We look forward to seeing you at the SC Shootout this weekend! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask here.
