Chris Wise and I went over to Gateway last night for the final racing event of the season. Weather was great for racing and we both ran new personal best times. Here are a few pictures.

Congrads nice run car looks great too. Is that your first 10 sec pass in that SC?

Thanks. No it's first 10 second pass was in 2006 when it ran 10.6 with a 3.8, 1.7 AR and 100 HP shot of nitrous, but Chris Wise was driving so it didn't really count for me. I tried on numerous occasions to duplicate that ET but something always went wrong and I eventually blew up the motor in 2008 never going quicker than low 11s. Got a new 4.2 motor in 2009 and ditched the nitrous. Turns out the 1.7 AR was too small for the 4.2 so I stepped up to a 2.3 whipple and more fuel. Then a year or so later we added a 95mm TB and 4" intake and with that combo it ran several 10.9 at the KY HP Shootout in Oct of 2011 Best was 10.92 @ 126.

For several reasons, I didn't beat that time until last night. So in 5 years, I went 1/100 of a second quicker. At this rate I'll be running 10.8s in 2026  This is the 10.92 slip

Congrats David! :)

That's a quick V6!!

You, and Chris both had impressive times..

Rayo..

Congrats to both of you! You guys talking AR 1.7 and whipple 2.3s, and I am over here still with an MP2 :(.

Don't feel bad, Luke is using a stock 95 blower I ported on his 3.8L running 11.30's. All in good time. :)

Congrats David! At least the car isn't slower after 4 years. That seems like a win to me.

I am going to go out on a limb and assume Luke is using large amounts of n20 ?

Yes it does feel like a win, being just as quick as it was 5 years ago.

I don't feel bad. I am having a ton of fun still with the car you built for me with the MP2. AR 1.7 would be nice, but I don't know what I am missing at the moment so its all good. Plus that will help keep me out of trouble.

Both SC's in photo at the track look awesome, thought I would throw that out there. Glad to see SC's still holding their own at tracks. Since most of the world (Or at least people around me) don't know about them, love when people ask about them. I still get wows, and what is in that thing, and stuff like that. It blows their mind when I tell them its only 6 cyl too. Sure you all love those response too when you get them. :)

Since the weather is really nice this weekend in chicago area, prolly going thru a tank of gas before it goes to storage.

LOL Baby steps!

The way things are going it might be 2026 by the time I get my car back together.
