Art Carr torque converter/ input shaft

    Hello all,
I found a deal on my local Facebook marketplace, looking to buy a 2500 stall aod art Carr TC. Seller says its for the one piece input shaft.

Does anyone know if it's a necessity to replace my input shaft if I go with this TC? I searched the forums and it appears it's optional to remove the lockup function, but I'm still not totally sure.

    Thanks for the help.

    JJ

I know it's a little late, but yes you would have to change to a one piece input shaft. Fourth gear is driven by the smaller center shaft.
