    Question Still no start.

I replaced my ecu, and put in a brand new Optima red top. Acts like the battery is dead. Put it on a charger with a 200 amp jump, and nothing. Just clicks, and the fan is running the whole time. As soon as I take the charger off, no power. Any ideas? 1990 35th. Tyia.

    Good morning

I assume you have 1990 SC based on your member profile. For engine no crank I would do the following checks for corrosion and or damage:

The battery power to the starter cable. Ohm/volt check. Check the starter for ground circuit. Bench check starter. Repair or replace defects. Do search in the forum or you tube.

The negative battery cable ground at the driver side engine mount stud.

The steering column ignition switch for assembly separation. Replace if defective. Do search in this forum.

The ignition starter motor relay in the engine bay driver side behind the battery. Check for cracks, corrosion on the unit and the positive battery cable connection. Repair or replace defects. Do search in this forum or you tube.

    Good Luck.
