Source for OEM water pump...doesn't the 232 share water pump pattern as the 302 v8?

    Howdy all,

Gathering a few things to do a rad/waterpump change to the chameleon car. I wanted to get an OEM pump...a couple yrs back when I checked, Rockauto still offered Motorcraft water pumps. AS of this morn, I dont see any being offered. I tried searching by model and by motorcraft/ford part numbers, and nada.

    Two quick questions:

1 - anyone have a source for new water pump?
2- doesn't the 5.0L engine share water pump bolt patern with our v6s? I do see a few new pumps offered for 302's.

    Thanks!

I think I ended up with a Bosch branded replacement unit, from RockAuto, as I recall. Good price, no problems.

The 302 pump is definitely not the same. I would just get a good name brand aftermarket one and not worry about it.

I don't even see a Bosch option in Rock Auto.

FYI, E9SZ-8501-BX is the part number for OEM reman unit. I landed one . Oddly enough, the casting number on the pumps is different, but they are SC-specific pump.
