That's aluminium? It looks like stamped steel to me. Nice on the size though if you've got big brakes.

Definitely aluminum. More info here: http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthre...-Runner-Option.

Photobucket has killed the pics, but you can see them if you go here.

Those are great spares for people with 13" Cobra front brakes. I'm using the same one for my 91 SC, and the only downside is that the spare tire cover won't work because the Lincoln LS is larger diameter and wider, so it sticks up about 1.5" out of the wheel well.

Thanks for the link to more photos. I'm used to seeing the Aluminium spare that came with the early MN-12. Never seen the LS one before. In the photo you posted it looked to me like the shape was similar to a steel wheel. The detail around the lug holes and the raised part around the lugs looked stamped.

When I found it, I wasn't 100% certain it was aluminum. I knew there were 17" aluminum spares, but I wasn't sure if ALL 17" LS spares were aluminum. But I figured I'd take a chance, and I was right. There was also a pair of Mark 8s in the yard, but I couldn't remember what the aluminum spares looked like, so I didn't want to take a chance on getting steel spares.

At some point in the near future I'm going to test this spare on my SC to see if it will clear Cobra R brakes. Yes, my SC is 5x4.5, but while at the junkyard I found that this wheel won't fit correctly on 5x4.5 hubs, but it will go on well enough for test fitting for caliper clearance.

√ 14 holes is first check, then hit it with a √ magnet to confirm.

I always take a couple small magnets to the yards.

    Nice find/price BTW
