    Pulling code 77 1990 XR7

    What part might this be?

    Nothing - that code is simply a complaint by the system during testing/code reading that the process wasn't followed correctly - at the point where you're supposed to give it full throttle, it means to the floor...goose the heck out of it - put your foot in it - don't be shy. Otherwise, you'll get a fail/code 77 & not collect all the info available.

    When pulling codes (always a good thing), be sure the engine is fully warmed up, full throttle, 1/2 turn on the steering wheel wheel, and hard on the brakes when indicated.
