Well I might just pull the plug on everything and get a new 2018 Mustang GT. I was just talking to a dealer that will put you into a new stang for $51,995 and it gives you just a bit more power... It is a twin turbo 5.0 that kicks out over 800 hp and the cruise and air work..... how can you go wrong???? ....Rich

Interesting; I assume it's something like this which is a dealer installed Hellion kit.

http://www.lebanonford.com/lfp-hellion.htm - $51,995 includes injectors, programmers, and tune.
https://www.hellionpowersystems.com/product/hellion-2018-ford-mustang-gt-twin-turbo-system/ $8995 + injectors + programmer + tune

If market avg is $33.5K for the poverty spec mustang GT (truecar.com), that leaves them $18.5K to cover the $9K kit, injectors, programmer, tune, and profit.

What is surprising (or not surprising, depending on how cynical you are) is that the dealership is willing to brand the car ("Lebanon Ford Performance") but seems unwilling to offer any kind of warranty from the mfg OR the dealership. Not even a basic 6 month or 10K mi warranty is offered. If you assume $2-3K in labor to install the hellion kit (being generous based on other internet posts), that's a pretty hefty profit without offering even a mediocre warranty. If you look at other "dealer installed tuner bits", some mfgs (ex: Dinan) are willing to match the balance of the OE warranty (4yr/5K or 2yr unlimited) in exchange for their gougy pricing.

The only warranty you'll get on the engine bits is a "lifetime warranty on the stainless steel parts included in the TT system" -- so I guess your charge pipe is covered :)

Direct quote from their website -- "Excepting Orders Now!" I find this a bit confusing.....:D

That's because they're Expecting Orders and are Accepting them! They're car salesmen not English professors. Or may be they're trying to be cutesy teenage girls who you can find at the mall chillaxing :p

Sounds great except for this part....

Q: How does The LFP Hellion affect the manufacturer's warranty?

A: The LFP Hellion will not carry any warranty from the manufacturer in the event of failures caused by the installation or use of the Hellion Turbo System. There is no warranty by Lebanon Ford. All stainless parts included in the twin turbo system contain a lifetime warranty. All other warranties will remain intact. (For questions or concerns regarding warranty coverage, please call a Performance Specialist at 513-932-1010 and ask for the Performance Department.)

Chillaxing with the air condition on.

Years ago, I worked for a company that imported vehicle info from dealership systems to send to websites and/or service follow-up call companies.

It's amazing the number of different ways dealerships would spell A/C.

Rich,

I would hold out for the 2019 GT500 with supercharged 5.2 making over 700 HP. BTW, have you heard if it will be offered with the new 10 speed automatic ??

at a meeting they were talking that is may be time again to go down that road.. The last Shelby with an auto was the 69-70 model.. so keep your eye out for that one....Rich... P.S. I still like pulling that shifter and it just makes more fun to an old fart like me....lol

not the reason

Rich I support your idea of having a new Mustang GT. You know what people says? "New car, new life" ;)

you can build all week long on one of these and when you are done a guy with working everything will still blow your doors off and still get 25 mpg.... thats why....Rich
