R RalphP SCCoA Member Feb 25, 2018 #4 You know, you CAN make a standard speedo a 160MPH speedo; it's even easier to test than the instructions say: http://www.sccoa.com/faq/SpeedometerConversions.pdf If you have a frequency generator, and can do simple math, you can calibrate the resistor needed off the car. (I do not like the idea of someone doing 150+MPH diddling with a resistor ... ) Math is simple; 8000 pulses per mile, but even easier, 60MPH is 133.3333 hertz. Or 54MPH is 120Hz. You can also see if that Contour speedo gauge will plug in. RwP
