PURCHASED - 1990 auto Supercoupe on local Craigslist for sale

Screenshots of a Screenshot for images? Also the screenshots are from 2016. Not sure if an actual listing or not. Also says it's a 35th because it's a 1990...

It's a real car and very close to my house. Owner gave me his address and I rode by and took a look at it. Looks pretty nice on the outside and the black leather interior looked good through the window. Meeting him later today to check out how it runs and a closer look.

Car looked to be in pretty good condition. Under the hood looked really original, black leather interior looked really nice with the normal drivers side bolster wear and dash didn't have any cracks either. I didn't look to close but it comes with some paperwork along with the original window sticker. Checked all of the fluids and they looked super clean. It does have the 35th badges on the fender as you can see in the pic. Tried to jump start it but the battery was so low that I couldn't get it to start. Because of that I got it for a really, really good price and I'm towing it home tomorrow. The lady owner was super nice and she really appreciated my passion for these cars.

What about the interior door badges and the 35th buck tag on the header?

Any blue on the hood or tailight emblems?

I didn't notice any as of now. I do have the original window sticker when it was bought new. I'll take a look at it a little later.

Yep, routine SC w/options for that year. Not really a 35th, but looks nice for the money regardless.

Good luck w/it.

I knew that but I thought it was odd to have emblems on the fenders. From what I can tell so far this car is unmolested and original.

Run a carfax yet?

Does the sound system still all work?

I'm not worried about a carfax. It has an aftermarket Sony CD player in the dash.

After sticking another battery in it still wouldn't start or do anything, I was scratching my head.... Then for some reason when I turned the key to start it for the 30th time I had my foot on the brake pedal and guess what.................it started. I had forgotten about that safety feature  (and so had the owner) but it wouldn't idle worth a dam like the owner had mentioned. Unplugged/plugged back in the IAC connector on the throttle body and it seemed to idle just fine........;):D:D:D

Right off the bat I know it needs tires(dry rotted/cracked), antennae, front corner lights and black moulding touch up along the sides, haven't had time to check anything else. Paint looks pretty good and so do rims but once I wash it I'll know what it really looks like.

Very nice Save! Bargain if the interior is nice too. 89-90 seats are the best!! Great find. Good luck with it.

Interior is pretty nice with black leather with the usual drivers side bolster wear. Dash has no cracks and upper rear seat stitching is perfect. Rear view mirror needs to be remounted but came with car.

I'll post up some pics once I get a chance to clear it up a little.

Still figuring out the running issue, changed out DIS, cam sensor and IAC with known working units. Runs better but still not quite there yet. I did add new headlights and corner lights. Next on the outside is to paint the black body moulding and a few other areas and install an antennae.

Great find!!!

That looks real nice especially the interior! Have you tried a vacuum gauge? Or smoke tester? I’m betting a vac leak. Maybe loose coupler at the top hat. Either way it’s a great find and I’m sure you’ll figure it out.
