***SOLD***.
***Happy to report this one is now in the hands of a new SC aficionado. SR-71 has a garaged home in Indiana. Good to see they are still appreciated!***
Well, well, it's time to cull the flock again. 6 SCs is 3 too many. May offload two more if this first one goes to a good home first?
This is "SR-71" and a great driver on the road. Owned it since Jan 2015, driven off and on, mostly on long road trips. No vibrations, no codes.
Odometer not working at 123,405 when I bought it, replaced gear, now works and reads 130,525. I estimate this it has about 170K total on the chassis, and about 60K on the Ford warranty reman engine - head gasket recall.
Smooth shifting (no grinding) 5 spd, good clutch engagement, with new hydraulic throw out bearing.
- Black exterior. Paint is 6/10 and repainted before. No pealing, repaint does have crowfeet and other up close scratches. TN car, no rust anywhere.
- Grey leather, great condition but for the usual splits on the center top of rear seats.
- Options: Moon Roof, JBL Sound with CD Changer in trunk, Dual pwr seats, Autolamp, Dimming rear view mirror, and factory 'analog' cell phone.
- Dealer Installed options: Ford 600 alarm w/ key fob, rear spoiler.
- New tires, Cooper Zeon RS-3 G1 235/55R16 on factory wheels painted in graphite.
Mild performance items I added over stock:
- 70mm BBK TB, C&L 73mm MAF and CAI.
- Double Intercooler from Ken.
- Oil Catch can instead of PCV valve.
- Cherry bomb resonator replacing stock. Remaining Cats and exhaust still original.
- APP 103 Spark plugs with new wires.
Other work done: New brake pads and rotors front & rear; UCA, LCA, and tie rods and bushings.
From Ford Oasis files I researched: Ford warranty reman engine installed around 2003 and runs very strong. I guess it has about 60-65K miles on it.
Excellent body, no accidents, really only needs new paint on horizontal surfaces to make a great 25 year old survivor.
More details and photos available on request, asking $3,900 OBO call or text me at (706) 3 9 2 09 61
Cheers,
Colonel Glenn
