Thin plastic covers for AC spring locks

It's probably a long shot, but does anybody have any part numbers or info on these spring lock covers? There are no markings and I haven't been able to find them online.

If at all possible, I'd like to keep them. In "theory" they work well....but we all know they end up coming out at some point . Still, any info is greatly appreciated.

You arenít going to find them new. Those are just for assembly to make sure the spring doesnít fall out before the line is clipped together. They serve no purpose, and are actually designed to fall away from the joint once it is clipped in. The only reason to find them is if you are doing a meticulous restoration, and in that case, you can get them from any other Ford in the junkyard.

Well, that explains why they're always off in every car I see . 35th still had all but 1. I guess I'll save those just in case.

    Thanks!
