F.S. Black Canadian Interior pieces - enough to do the seat belt conversion + extras

I have most of the interior from a black 91 Thunderbird.

There are all the pieces needed to convert from the horrible 89-93 passive restraint system to a normal lap/seat belt system. Canada did not have the passive restraint law back in the early 90's, so their cars had the normal lap/seat belts.

I have:

Right and left front powered seat tracks (with motors, seatbelt hardware and switches/wiring)
Entire rear seat
Right and left front door panels
Front and rear complete set of seat belts and hardware
Right and left sail panels and lower panels
Right and left A-pillars
Right and left door sill panels
Left kick panel
Right and left visors

I don't think it would be practical to ship. The seat tracks are pretty heavy, and it would be difficult to safely package the larger parts, especially the door panels and the sail panels. I'd be willing to look into shipping, but I'm thinking that it would cost way too much. So probably local pickup is the only reasonable option. I live in the Detroit area.

Asking $200 for the whole set

That’s really neat. While I like the passive seat belts :p I was curious how different these interior pieces are compared to what was used in 1994-1997 (because they didn't have motorized belts either).

Did the Canadian SC’s have any other differences from American ones?

I've never had a 94/95 personally, but from the pictures I've seen, I know there are other differences. The dash especially was changed for 94.

I don't live in Canada, so I don't have much exposure to the Canadian cars. I drove into Canada a bit from Detroit to pick up these parts. Not sure if there were any other differences.

Well the first and biggest difference is there was no black interior for 94-97. Also the bolt hole for where the shoulder belt anchors to the B-pillar is slightly lower on the 89-93 cars than on the 94-97 ones, so if you put 94-97 panels in your car, you need to weld in a new anchor point, where these will line up with an existing anchor point in the 89-93 american cars.

I know what I was thinking of when I made my comment about the dash changing. I think it was the 97 T-Bird when they added the cup holders to the center console, and there were also some dash changes made then to go along with that as well (moving the cigarette lighter from the console to the dash).

On the one i've done, I hole sawed a 3/4 hole in new sail and mounted belt higher, where there was an existing bung. For some reason I remember having to tap the bung... been a while since... The down belt covered the orig hole well, have to really look to find it.

I know the answer to this being that the tracks were offered specifically by them selves, but are the front seats available? Be worth a drive up to pick up my new rear cover and this stuff too...

Hi Adam, I answered you in a PM

If the black Thunderbird interior is still available, I think I would be interested in buying it (or whatever you may have left of it).

could i get the 2 top pieces of the door panels? the little black pieces at the top of the door with the screw threw the middle of it.

I would like the 2 A pillers. Could probably put them in a usps golf club box only $20 to ship it they fit

I'm still obsessed with these parts. Still figuring out when/if I can head your way. I'm mostly interested in all parts for the Canadian seat belt conversion and fold down rear seat (in case you have already sold some of the other random parts).

seat belts

I am interested in converting the seat belts in my 90 (driver side shoulder belt track has been broken for years). I would not need any of the back seat parts, but would I need the metal front seat bases or can I use the existing lap belt hardware I have? I though I would just need all the trim above the doors and also the rear quarters for the proper access holes (and the belts) - am I incorrect?
Yes, I'm in the states, but I am still curious about this - if you have the parts and could give any insight, I would be grateful. Thanks.

I have not forgotten about this post. I was working on my car's interior today and was thinking about how badly I wanted those black interior pieces. Fortunately, my dad will be heading that way next month, unfortunately I think he will by flying there instead of driving there (like he did last year), so we'll see how this goes. Otherwise sometime this summer when I'm visiting family in Wisconsin, I can see if I can rent a truck and head that way.

I had a friend that used to fly to England to buy Cosworth body parts...he'd buy a first class ticket and make them 'carry on' items - can't imagine that would work today, tho.
