Get a lighter waste gate spring that will allow you to only have 5 or 6 psi at the blower inlet. Yes add a 2nd methanol injection nozzle. What is meth/water ratio ?

I'm going to leave the boost as it is. This thing rips on 29psi.

Took it around town in the cool weather today. I can post a couple of data logs if you guys want. Not sure if you'll need megalog viewer or if any logger will work. It's all open source stuff.

I ordered a 2nd meth nozzle from Amazon for my aem meth kit. It arrived literally 20 minutes ago. I'll drill the m90 top hat and install the nozzle in the hat. I figure that's the best location for it to mix with the air.

Water/meth is about 50/50. I scientifically eyeballed it.

    Don't forget - you're compounding heat too.

2nd nozzle in front of the SC maybe?

what file hosting service do you recommend for uploading various file types? I attempted to upload my log files to this site but the site doesn't support .MSL files.

I have a 1000cc nozzle in the charge pipe going into the m90 throttle body, I am trying a 500cc nozzle for the 2nd nozzle in the top hat and see how the air temp sensor reacts to that before going with the 1000cc nozzle. The AEM nozzle from amazon came with 3 nozzles; 250cc, 500, and 1000 which is great for trying out the various sizes to see what works best.

A guy I was talking with on the megasquirt forums told me his experience with an m90 and no intercooler and the difference between spraying pre/post blower. He found that he needed to use an 18GPH nozzle pre-blower to get 140* charge temps as opposed to a 10GPH nozzle post-blower to get 130* air temps. granted he was running 14psi and not 29psi the basic concept should still be similar.

with spraying pre-blower the meth is cooling the rotors and housing as well as the air. spraying post-blower you're basically just cooling the air and charge pipes. I figure i'll try both and see how it goes.

That's really about all I've got going on lately with this car. No promises on track days. If it happens, it happens, I'll reply with the results whether they're good or lack luster. I'd like to take advantage of the cool weather so I'll try to push for a track outing sooner rather than later.

    Have a good one.

Tried google drive for the log files.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0N...w?usp=drivesdk (ambient air temp was around 64 degrees. Never really got over 60% throttle. Kept breaking the tires loose, I do not have a speed sensor hooked up to the megasquirt) I think the air temp only hit 230 degrees. This is with just the single 1000cc meth nozzle.

230 is a lot, my tune is set to start pulling timing at anything over 140. I don’t imagine the motor will survive very long at 29 psi and those intake temps, but it will be fun while it last.
I think 22 psi would work a lot better and the heat would be reduced a lot too.

This isn't a build thread so I won't be updating it with every little detail as if it is a build thread. Originally just wanted to post this as a "hey look someone finally did it" kind of thing but also wanted to make it somewhat informative as well.

So anyways, I just figured I'd respond in regards to the results of the 2nd meth nozzle. 500cc helped but the temps were still around 150-160 degrees farenheit after the meth activated. I upped the nozzle size to the 1000cc nozzle and drove the car. The temperature spikes to 220 on the initial hit then immediately drops to 113-119 degrees farenheit. One hit dropped temps down to 107 degrees but the average was 113-119 across 10 or so pulls.

Long story short, more meth = lower temps but I ran through half a gallon in the span of 30 minutes of flooring it. I'm fine with that. It's not a daily driver.

I'm thinking the next thing to follow this up with is either time slip pics or motor carnage pics.. or both.

I don't have video of this car in motion. I'll take it around town tomorrow and get some video for you guys to look at.

It may or may not last. Everything breaks eventually. It is quite fun for the moment though.

Took the car to the local track last night. Ran 14.04 @ 88mph. Oh well. It was fun to at least get the concept to "working" state. Time to move on.

Here's a link to the video if anyone's interested.

Take the blower off and just run a turbo! I honestly think that a bone stock early model sc motor in a mustang would run 13s all day long.

I mean, I guess if you go by the 1/8th mile time and extrapolate it to 1/4 mile the car could have ran 13.30 or something. But with how botched the whole pass was, from the launch to the pedaling to the boost cuts, then coasting to the finish etc.. it's easy to say what it could have or should have ran.

There's obviously much better time to be made in this configuration but there are a lot of bugs to work out before making another attempt at a pass down the 1/4 mile.

Give me another 6 months. I might have the overboost issue sorted out by then.

I don't mind 45lbs It just needs to be intentional and not due to a valve sticking or what have you.
