    Picked up a sweet 95 5-speed!

A week or so ago I brought into the nest a coveted 95 5-speed. Pearl White exterior, grey leather interior, all options including the integrated cell phone which is a good conversation piece ('Night at the Roxbury' anyone?). And for the keen eyes out there, Yes, I am aware the passenger front rim and driver rear rim are switched. :-)

    Hi Melon, long time!

110,000 miles on everything except for the engine which has 36,000 on it.
As far as plans go, it has a miss under load and cruise isn't working, so will address the slight miss first. I'm in no hurry. Plan for now is to keep it stock.

Thanks! Getting to know it as each SC is unique to an extent. Will be lucky if I go through a tank of gas before storing it for the off-season.

    Congrats

    Great find, good looking car.

Just like a couple I have owned and still have one.

I am surprised that it has the analog cell phone option. Can you confirm the model year code on the VIN? R=1994, S=1995. As far as I have been able to ascertain, the cell phone option was not an option in MY 1995, only MY 1994. However, if your car's last six digits in the VIN are very low 1xx,xxx with an early fall of 1994 production date, it may have been available at the very beginning of the 1995 MY run. Would appreciate knowing that please. Get a Marty report too, LOL.

A little known factoid: On the lower corner of the buck tag in front of the radiator, it should read "4K503". It means it is an engine built for a 5 Spd car (it has a flywheel) and the engine was produced in 1994 MY. All 95's have 1994 built engines. If your car has a "5K503" then I am wrong. Automatic cars have a "6" ending like in 506. 89's have a 9K50x, 90's 0K50x, 91's a 1K50x, 92's a 2K50x, 93's a 3K50x, 94's a 4K50x, and the last year 1995 also have a 4K50x.

    Enjoy it.

That's quite a rundown on the numbers!

Mine shows last six digits as 136,xxx with an 11/94 build date. I remembered I have the window sticker (previous owner had it laminated). The cell phone was a $530 option for the '95.

Mine has the cell phone option also. If you unhook the battery to do work, then hook it back up, It makes a cell phone reboot noise. I'm old enough to remember the bag phones from back then. I think you just plugged in the handset to the car.
    That is a nice ride.
