    rear brake question

Was in lookin at my brakes and on the left rear the outside pad was worn rite out and the inside pad was in perfect shape, would this be a cause by a bad caliper?

    Thanks for any help

    rear brakes

I replaced the rotor and pads tonite drove home and the left rear brake was HOT. So i am guessing the caliper is hanging up?

You're guessing correctly. Pull it, clean the slider pins, regrease them, and try it out.

An excessivly worn outside pad is caused by the slides hanging up. An excessively worn inside pad is caused by a caliper piston sticking/brake hose gone bad. Use synthetic grease and dont over grease the slides. I use Silglyde at the shop i work at and it does an excellent job.
