Yesterday, 2/19, I called the 1-800 # for Super 8 and was told that there were no rooms available. I called the motel (Alex. Spring Rd.) directly and got a room. I think that these motels hold back or maybe there was a cancellation. Anyway, it does't hurt to try.

Ron,

By any chance do you know which hotels might have a pool? My wife told me that she won't go with me unless I can find a hotel with a pool.

I'd like to stay at the Days Inn where all the other SCCOA'ers are staying but if they don't have a pool I'll have to look elsewhere.

I know the Super 6 Motel had one. But you don't have it listed up there.

Thanks Ron.

I assume that is the same day's inn that all the other Sccoa'ers are staying at? The one that I have to mention Bill Evanoff at? I'm gonna pre-register tommarow (the deadline) and try to book space. Hopefully they are not booked.

any of you guys ever stay at rodeway inn? My wife and i booked there for the weekend. just wondering what people think of it. let me know thanks.

Ron,

Thanks, I booked like the last room. It's a smoker room but hopefully a Non-smoker room will pop up. Got my pre-registration out in the mail too. The lady at carlisle productions told me that if the letter was dated Feb 28th, I'd get in on the pre-registration rate.

Hopefully that will help to count towards george's 25 participants.

Danekejt,

My wife and I stayed at the Rodeway in Carlisle 2001. It was a good place and I don't have any complaints. It's located right next to a great little diner. The food is good and cheap in comparison for what you'd pay in N.Y.

The only problem with the Rodeway is that it is farther from the fairgrounds and obviously the other SCCOA'ers are staying at the Days Inn, which means all of the parking lot shenanigans will be taking place there! ;)

hey deep6 thanks for the info. i look forwarding to meeting all of you gusy this year. what do you guys do on friday and sat nights during the ford nats? is there a track near by to make some passes?

Festivities...

In the past most of the Tbird SC guys will gather in front of the Super 8 motel and Days Inn (that's where both hotels are). Unfourtunatly the owner/manager of the Super 8 motel is a Nazi and doesn't like us doing crazy burn-outs in the parking lot.

Last year she was getting crazy even when people were just chirping their tires.

Finally, we were drinking out back and just Bs'ing when one of our younger buddies stopped by with his cammed SC. I guess he didn't know about the Nazi staring us down and stuff and just lit them up cause he figured that is what we were doing all night. Oops, cause Frauline Nazi called the carlisle police and like 8 cops showed up to get us to "dispurse" and go to our rooms. They cited that we had gathered publically to drink and this required a permit or something. Many of the guys were staying in that hotel and were red about having to go up to their rooms. I know that the guys got upstairs and started hanging out in each others rooms at that point.

We've also gone go-karting at the go-kart track. I don't think that there is a Drag way in carlisle BUT a few miles out of town I heard that there was one. But every time I had gone, no one got together to run. Maybe this year we should and get all that tire spinning done at the track.

They do have a Dyno-jet at the fair grounds. For $75 you get three back to back runs. Not the best deal but at least the guy brings the dyno to you. I pulled a best of 207RWHP and 318RWTQ. That's with a stock motor. Not bad.

hey if you guys need parts or anthing let me know. i have a complete parts car. i can bring them down to carlisle for yous.

Carlisle, PA

Guys, I am planning to attend the Ford Nationals. I didn't get a room, just figured I would try to find where the other SC's are gathering. I've never been to Carlisle, so directions and tips would be appreciated. 1993 stock SC 5 speed 149k miles and going strong.
