Cold Air Divider or Air Filter down in fender?

So I'm looking at getting some sort of Cold Air Induction soon and I was wondering which you guys would recommend. It'd be fairly easy to just slap a K&N Cone on the end of the stock hose and then buy that Magnum Powers Cold Air Divider. This would also make changing or cleaning the filter a very easy job (no need to remove inner fender!)

I'm wondering if maybe having the air filter down below the fender would keep the air a lot cooler and perform a lot better. Would the performance differences be significant or not worth worrying about?

A very nice setup, but I'm looking at saving money here.

Right now, if I can find a tube to connect the TB and the MAF... then I can slap a K&N Cone filter on it, and buy that Magnum Powers Cold Air divider. This idea seems MUCH cheaper than spending $250+ on a CAI system.

With the cold air divider from MP, the difference in ambient temp to the filter will be minimal compared to below the engine compartment.
