Seperating Engine and Transmission

Trying to pull the engine. I've all 8 bolts out, and the engine and transmission won't seperate. It's only been in the car for about 6 months. Any tricks, places to pry, etc.?

Is it hanging up on the input shaft? Are you supporting the front of the trans? Are you able to move the engine around in the engine bay at all but the trans keeps moving with it?

Yes, I've got a jack under the transmission. I suspect it's just the dowels. I can move the engine all over the place, but can't seperate it from the tranny.....

Did you remove the 4 Torque converter nuts? That wouldn't really stop you from seperating but it might give you a bit of a headache. I usually put something between the back of the oil pan and the trans and "lightly" pry it until it comes loose. You probably just have stuck dowels.

I don't have converter bolts....

It was just the dowels, I finally convinced them.
