What can I use for gasket on MP 85mm Throttle Body

This may be a dumb question, but what should I use to seal between the 85mm MagnumPowers Throttle Body and the Inlet Plenum?

I was thinking LocTite Red like what is used on the blower top (from Ford anyway) or some people use Permatex Copper RTV on the intercooler tubes/top, but I have never seen anyone talk about gasket material between the TB and the plenum.

Thanks!

What color?

There are many different "flavors" to choose from. Blue, Red, Copper, etc.

The most popular that I have run into on the SC boards is the copper, but want to make sure that I do it right the first time.

Once this thing is assembled and sealed, I dont see myself taking it apart for quite some time.

THANKS!!

Mike

Mike,

I used the copper RTV to seal the TB, Plenum and SC top. A thin coat (smear on with fnger) works great and dries quick enough to drive the car as soon as you finish the job.

PS: On your new TB, check that screws in the throttle plate were sealed with thread locker, if not put a drop on each screw.
