what is the bolt pattern? i had thought it was 5 X 4-1/4
also what is the offset.

Re: bolt pattern

5X4.25" is correct. I dont recall the offset. 39mm I think.

Re: bolt pattern

Yup 39mm is correct give that man a ceegar!!!!

Re: bolt pattern

thank you gentlemen.
is it true that i can't use anything bigger than the stock 16".
tha car is a '90. i'm also going to lowering the car soon. 1.5" drop using the eibach's. any help in pointing towards wheel company's would be a great help.

Re: bolt pattern

People have used 20" rims on an SC. You can use whatever you want, as long as you can live with the results.

There are too many wheel manufacturers to list a recommendation. There are a few manufacturers that make custom wheels, and others that still make our bolt pattern. You can also have 5X4.5" (Mustang) rims re-drilled to fit your SC.

This line of questioning would best be answered at Wheel and Tire Zone.

Re: bolt pattern

What results? I'm not sure I know what you mean.

Re: bolt pattern

The result that the larger the rim, the thinner the tire to clear the well, and in-turn, the sh*itty the ride qulaity you will experience.

Re: bolt pattern

O.K. good, I can "handle" that. I thought someone told me that the cars hub or spindles wouldn't accept a wheel larger than 16". Thanks Bill.

Re: bolt pattern

Actually, it isn't the wheel diameter, it's the rim and tire width that becomes an issue in that regard.

Glad to help.

Re: bolt pattern

Ryan, my 95 SC has been running 17 x 8-1/2" wheels all around the last two summers, and will get 18" rims this year !!

cheers
