    Plastic Balancer cover realy required?

Has anybody removed their balancer cover on an early car and run for a long time without any issues?
The one on my 90 does not stay in place, then I noticed that my 95 has never had one at all, I am thinking of just removing it from the 90?

I never put mine back on, in fact down the road it made crank sensor changes a walk in the park as you were able to change them without removing any accessories from the engine.

It's not required Pete, but the concours judge will deduct points at the show if you don't have it !!
