Check Engine Light

I tried to do the engine code check via paper clip and check engine light. Got set up and when I tried the KON-EON test I could hear the whirrrrr's and clicks but the engine light didn't come on at all - not even to give the "111" code - everything alright (yeah - like that ever happens on an SC!!!).

I took the paper clip out and turned the key to run/start and when starting and just after, noticed that the check engine light does not come on at all. I replaced the bulb with a new one and still no light.

Any clues??
