Our Summit series started today at Atlanta Dragway. The rain ended by 9 am and we had excellent weather the rest of the day with a high in the pits around 80 degrees. It was really windy and it was blowing straight down the track towards the start line so they limited everyone to the 1/8 mi considering that the track was pretty green, too. I finally got my reaction times back into the .500's by the time the eliminations started and made it all the way to the semifinals before breaking out with an 8.503 on an 8.51 dial-in. I got the only bye run with a .534 r/t and followed it up with a .512 but couldn't use it until the 4th round. I didn't have to buy back in either of the 1st 2 rounds so I won as many points as the runner-up did. So I started the season off on a good note. The car ran fine, no misfires or starting problems so it looks like the new cam sensor did the trick.
