    Getting That Plate off

That 1 inch plate is really stuck on my SC. Are there any tools and or sugestions how to do this easily? My SC was supposedly rebuilt and ported but there are metal shavings in it, That I need to clean out.
90 5 speed. Owned since 4-91 it had 12,000 mi. Motor out since '99. I'm gonna fix it, really. Hoping for 450+ HP
95 auto. owned since 03. Now a Daily driver the motor is in. It continues with electrical gremlins. I think in the PCM harness. Will be a daily driver. Expect 300 to 350 HP

Are you talking about the rotor pack, between the snout and the main body of the case? It can be really really stuck. Try to tap a sharp chisel between the two halves, on one of the corners, where it won't damage the sealing. (The bolt will stop the chisel before it goes too far.)
    God bless!!!

1990 SC auto ... red outside, gray cloth inside ... ~205,000 miles (and climbing) ... driven daily!

And that but was afraid to damage the sealing surface. I will try how you suggest.
