All,

Not sure if any of you have seen this, but here 'tis the alldata site link. It's a repository for Technical Service Bulletins (aka internal Mfg announcements for which public release is not mandatory) for repairs or defects affecting specific model lines.

In some cases the dealer will STILL repair the vehicle. The best bet is to contact Ford via the PR number on their website & give them the VIN.

Hard to believe? I would say so too but as of June 04 my 94 airport-beater Taurus has a new pair of heads & gaskets, and my "low mileage" out-of-mfg-warranty 2000 DeathStar van has a new rocker cover, plenum & fuel pressure reg.

In many cases, though, the "voluntary recall or repair" effort has ended (i.e. the clear-coat paint problems on pre-97 cars). Just an FYI. Saw the previous posts regarding the VIN check & wanted to add my 2 cts. BTW, you can get single VIN checks for $4.99 online.
