    Keyless Entry Pad Problems

    Hi,

For some reason, a little while ago, the Keyless Entry Pad on my driver's door stopped accepting my entry code to unlock the doors. Funny thing, if I do the entry and then hit the other key to unlock the trunk...that works. So the keypad isn't dead. I've tried disconnecting the battery for a while to reset things...but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

    Jim.

If your door lock solenoids work when activated from the switches on the door armrests, then it would probably be the module in the trunk on the drivers side fender.

Does that mean the module is pooched or is just having issues?

Do you know if there is anyway to reset/fix it?

Open it up - it looks really flimsy. A component may have gone bad, or there may be a broken or cold soldered joint.
The only other thing that I can think of is the wiring or connectors.

Cool! Perhaps I'll tackle the thing on the weekend. Thanks for the info!
