Yep, our favorite tuner is coming back to town. Here's the details...
----------
There will be a dyno tuning session at Stiegemeier's Dyno in St. Louis Missouri July 21st - July 22nd. There are not a whole lot of spots left, but saturday night and sunday morning/early afternoon are still available. Here is the details...
Pricing would be as follows. For new people total price is $350 ($100 for the dyno and $250 for the custom tune). If you already have a chip from this custom tuner, the total is $250 (tune price is $150 and the dyno price is $100). To book a spot for this session you need to pay a $50 non-refundable deposit. First come first serve on time slots and day preferences.
Generally, if you have an EEC-IV the tuner will tune your car by monitoring your systems with his equipment and then burn a chip based on those parameters. If you have an EEC-V he can directly flash the changes to your EEC. If you have an EEC-V he can also burn a chip if you would prefer, but if you have a multi-bank EEC-V you may not get the full tuning potential from a chip.
The tuning is done on a wideband O2 dyno. You get as many pulls as necessary for the tune to be done correctly. The tuner can change transmission shift parameters as well as engine controls and fan temp settings. He has written tuned hundreds of each model of car you guys drive (lightnings, thunderbirds, mustangs, crown vics, etc). The base calibration (before adjustments) you receive has been refined and updated thought his experience with your model.
In order to qualify for this, your car must be working correctly. If you car has a problem that is computer related, that is acceptable. If your car has problems that are mechanical or not fixable via parameters within the EEC, this tuning session will not be beneficial to you. You should also clean your MAF and make sure you have good plugs and good fuel filter before the tuning.
You can contact me if you want more info or want to get info on where to send the deposit. I am not profiting from this, but I am helping out by arranging it.
