All of a sudden , without warning..I went to close my drivers door, and it would not close...it appears that the door dropped about 1/2 inch..I can close it if I lift the door as I"m closing it....I am familure with worn pins on a GM...is this the same problem with my 90 SC..worn door pins?..if so...how hard is replacing them and where do I get them.....thanks..John

ya older tbirds and cougars all have this problem. the doors are too heavy for the door hinges, had to replace the driver side hinges on my cougar, and since thats been done, its slowly starting to get bad again.

My 90 does the same thing. A quik solution till you get it fixed is to push the BOTTOM portion of the latch up when you get out. Its hard to explain but if you are looking at the open door from the back of the car you will see the small cutout that latches the door shut. If you push the part of the latch that is on the bottom of the cutout till it clicks ONCE you can just push the door shut.
