    I read through all the info you've posted so far Mike, and I have a couple of questions.


    • How does he know it's a "bank" of cylinders?

    • What tests did he perform to determine this?

    • What were the codes pulled?


    The other point about all this is he states it doesn't store trouble codes after the problem ceases... that's very strange. Maybe he's unknowingly "resetting" the EEC after performing the tests.(?)

    Just a hunch but, I still think you have a faulty DIS module. When mine started acting up it would only do it when hot, and it sure felt like an entire bank of cylinders failed. Sometimes it would take quite a while for the failure to occur, other times it would be right after reaching operating temps. Even at the end of it's life it would always "fix" itself temporarily if you let it cool down.

    The fact that it runs good when cold helps eliminate a bunch of possibilities like faulty injectors, FPR, etc.,

    let us know what happens... and post the codes!
