my seat belt light won't go out when all seat belts are locked. What is going on here? Anyone got a clue. Please help. Thank you

If the seatbelt warning chime goes off intermittently, I would replace the Chime Module behind the glove box or check the driver's lap belt switch. If it doesn't, then I'd replace the Passive Restraint Module on the left rear fender in the trunk. It's easier than checking the various switches (shoulder belts spool switches and limit switches).

I unplugged the chime module, and the motor on the passenger side of my 92 SC. I then manually cranked the belt back to the proper position, and it wasn't binding. I think my limiter switch went bad (3rd one in 4 years) and I wasn't about to change it so I said to hell with it, and unplugged the motor and chime. Its a lot easier to just strap in when you get in the car.
