Tire Size

dont know about the cougar but on my uncles mustang he had 17x7 cobra Rs and he had 315/35 drag radials would think you can do the same

17x7 with 315's?
Thats not physically possible, widest for a 7" is a 255 tire

As for a 9", you can go with a 295, that would be best before you need to start rolling the fender

275-40-17 or even 285-40-17 fits with some fender lip adjustment. George D. has 285s on his SWB car, on 9-1/2" rims. Wayne Ing had 315-35-17s jammed on 8-1/2" wheels a few years back as an experiment, they sort of fit, but not really recommended especially on a rim that's at least 2 inches too narrow !!

What all these guys fail to tell you is that is the size for the rear tires. 255/45's is as wide as you can go without rubbing in the front.

I would go with this...

245/45's up front.
275/40's in back

Or

255/45's in front
285/40's in back

Chris: Not totally true, the early spindle guys can put 275's up front, and 275's in the rear if they really want to.

Then again, he has a 93, so yah, 245 up front, 275 in the rear would be best for him

Who's making a K-member for an MN-12 car ? Are you talking about a tubular one like the ones for the Stang boys ? If so, who's building / selling those ?

cheers
